" Everything is based on mind, is led by mind, is fashioned by mind. If you speak and act with a polluted mind, suffering will follow you, as the wheels of the oxcart follow the footsteps of the ox. Everything is based on mind, is led by mind, is fashioned by mind. If you speak and act with a pure mind, happiness will follow you, as a shadow clings to a form."

Days before his ascension a new threat in the form of Chase Collins complicated the lives of the sons tenfold. Putting both his best friend and his love interest in danger Chase forced Caleb to battle, Caleb only succeeding in victory after his own father willed his son his own share of power. Now, after his ascension, the family power is all the more seductive.
After the fires burned away, into the haze;
Break down load it up; roadies haul it all away;
To do it all another day;
Tell me all your secrets and I’ll tell you all of mine.
No one ever has to know,
Cause in the darkness nothin’ shows.

Final Details
- RP Sample: It was morning; two days after the fight at Putnum barn. The eldest could barely drag himself from his own bed without fifteen different, worrisome thoughts to think over. The task set before him was an almost impossible one; after everything that the Sons of Ipswich had been through in the last week they had been left in the aftermath with two final tasks. A: Hide all the evidence. B: Live a normal life. Chase Collins had opened up window after window of possibilities for new threats to weigh on the mind of the son’s leader: There could be other bastard sons, there could be other Covenant’s wanting their power. Chase Collins himself wasn’t even dead. He would be back, and he would be more vengeful than ever. There was no logic in denying it.
The saying went ‘that which doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’ but the eldest son could argue that, he had a firm argument with several different examples as to why this had weakened his Covenant, not strengthened it. Pogue had been injured. Reid’s addiction had been strengthened. They made a near all powerful enemy that refused to die. Two outsiders knew of the power (only one officially, though Caleb knew Pogue well, and he was certain Pogue would tell Kate everything as soon as his voice returned.) His own father was dead, not just dead, gave his life because Caleb wasn’t strong enough to protect his own Covenant on his own. And Caleb himself? Caleb Danvers was fighting this addiction tooth and nail. His father’s power, along with the power he was given when ascending, it was far too powerful. It would be the death of the eldest if he didn’t watch himself constantly. No one could know, it was too dangerous, it would cause the others, as well as his own mother, to worry over him. There was nothing they could do, so there was no reason for them to know.
